I actually painted this several months ago but hadn't posted it for some reason. I was experimenting with backlighting so I wanted to paint a grove of trees lit from behind. A friend pointed out to me later the "path" through the trees, although this was unintentional and just happened.

This is beautiful. I found your blog by looking at profiles of people who liked the same books as I like... and it led me to your profile... and I'm so glad it did. Love your work... and especially love these trees with their subconscious path...
Tess, I appreciated your comments very much...they are very encouraging to me. Incidentally, the "path" in this painting was not intentional and it only "appeared" after I was done. So the path is very much a subconscious one as you said. Thanks again.
